Review
"Duplicate" is a freeware product of Adaptive Technology, focused on search of duplicate files in your computer.
First of all, you have to create an account in order to get access to the software download. Once you install it, you will come to a single window, where you will be able to begin a new search. All you have to do is to specify the start folder, and check a couple of options if you want. Then you start and wait. Finally, if the program has found any duplicate files, you can delete the 'original', the 'duplicate' or both.
My overall experience in this software was not so good. Sometimes I get wrong "no duplicate files found", and sometimes I found a switched pair, this is, the file reported as duplicated is the original one, and vice versa (thinking about the creation date, for example).
If you want my opinion, I don't have in mind just now, but I'm sure, there are better alternatives out there if you want to delete duplicate files from your media safely.
Maybe if you try the professional version (Duplicate II)...but that's up to you! |
